Recipe ingredients
The star ingredient here is (you have guessed it) green beans. Choose the coolest beans you can find firmly and catchy, and on the thickness of a pencil. I included a few notes on the other ingredients that I use for my recipe for green air frying beans below. You will find the printable list with the quantities of recipe in the recipe card after the message.
- Fresh green beans – I love the fresh green garden beans in summer. You can also make this recipe with fresh French green beans from the store. Cut and wash the green beans before cooking them.
- Olive oil – Choose good quality olive oil, or flavored oil, such as garlic oil or chili oil.
- Seasoning – Salt and pepper, boosted with a little garlic powder. You can also use onion powder or add different herbs and seasonings depending on the flavors you are looking for. The Italian seasoning or cajun spices would also be great. I include no more seasoning advice later.
- Parmesan cheese – Freshly grated, to serve.

How to ventilate fine green beans
Quick vegetarian accompaniment dishes are not much easier than air green beans. Here is a quick overview of how to have them ready to serve in 20 minutes or less. Scroll the recipe card for printable instructions.

- Season the beans. While the air fryer preheated at 375 ° F, throw green beans with oil, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
- Cook. Arrange the green beans in a single layer inside the air fryer (you may need to work in lots). Cook at 375 ° F for 8 to 10 minutes, until they finished to your liking.
- Garnish and serve. Move the finished beans on a plate and keep a good pinch of parmesan, and serve!

Tips for green beans
- Cook in a single layer. It’s the key! Hot air needs room to circulate green beans to crush the outside while they cook. If you overload the air fried basket, the beans vapor steam. I still cook in two lots.
- Use uniform beans. Try to cut or find similar beans for even cooking.
- Use pliers. Throw the beans halfway from cooking so that they become sharper on all sides.
- Enjoy right away. These green beans with air fries are better served hot and fresh from the air fryer. It is when they are the tender and crisp.

What to serve with green beans
Combine these green beans with garlic garlic with garlic with grilled chicken or baked, puff pastry or cute net (great if you are entertaining). Another of my favorite ways to eat crisp green beans is like a snack or an aperitif, soaked in a ranches or aioli vinaigrette! I also love these as an easy vacation dish with our Thanksgiving or Christmas turkey, followed by a slice of pumpkin pie.

Frequently asked questions
French green beans are longer and thinner than ordinary green beans, and harvested a little earlier, while green beans are shorter. The two types are delicious and perfect for frying in the air.
No, whitening or soaking is not necessary here. Just cut and wash the beans before cooking.

How to store the remains of green beans
- Refrigerate. Keep the remains of cooked green beans tight in the refrigerator up to 3 days. Make sure they are completely cooled before storing them. I like to add my remaining cold beans to a couscous salad or a burrito bowl.
- Warm. The best way to warm these beans is to return them to the air fryer. You can also use the microwave. Take care not to cook them.
- Can I freeze green beans? Yes. To freeze your green beans, let them cool, then keep them in a freezer container. Freeze up to 2 months.
