Ingredients

  • 3 pieces ripe bananas peeled and sliced
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • a pinch salt optional
  • 1/4 cup milk almond, coconut, or regular milk

Equipment

  • High-powered blender or food processor
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Spatula
  • Bowls and spoons for serving

Method

  1. Peel and slice the bananas and freeze them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for at least 2-3 hours.
  2. Transfer the frozen bananas to a high-powered blender and add the vanilla extract, salt, and milk.
  3. Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy, adjusting milk as needed for consistency.
  4. Pour the Banana Nice Cream into bowls and serve immediately, optionally topping with berries, nuts, or honey.

Notes

Make sure your bananas are ripe but not overly brown for the best flavor. For a creamier texture, a combination of different milks can be used. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 3 days. Allow to sit at room temperature to soften slightly before serving. If icy, blend briefly to restore creaminess. For variation, try adding peanut butter, cocoa powder, or a nut extract for added flavor. This recipe is flexible, so feel free to experiment with your favorite add-ins!
