Method
 

  1. Take your butter out of the fridge and let it sit on the counter while you prep everything else.
  2. Set your toaster to medium-high heat.
  3. Drop your bread slices into the toaster and press down.
  4. When the toast pops up, immediately transfer it to your plate.
  5. Take about half a tablespoon of butter and spread it gently across the entire surface of one slice.
  6. Scoop about half a tablespoon of jam onto the buttered toast and spread it evenly.
  7. Repeat with your second slice.
  8. Eat immediately while it's warm.
