Ingredients
  

  • 3 apples (Golden Delicious or Granny Smith)
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 g sugar
  • 100 g flour
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar or 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 30 g melted butter
  • a pinch salt
  • Butter for greasing the pan

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Peel and core the apples, then slice them thinly and arrange them in the greased dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until frothy, then add melted butter, flour, and salt, stirring until smooth.
  4. Gradually pour in the milk and vanilla, whisking continuously to avoid lumps.
  5. Pour the batter over the arranged apple slices and bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown and set.
