  • 100 g unsalted butter, melted about 1/2 cup

  • 1 packet baking powder about 10 g
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a 22 cm (about 9-inch) cake pan.
  2. Peeled and slice the apples into thin, even pieces.
  3. In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and cinnamon; add sugar and mix well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Gently fold the wet mixture into the dry mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the apple slices, ensuring they are well-distributed but not broken.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake in preheated oven for about 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
