- Peel and core the pears, placing them cut-side down in a metal dish suitable for your air fryer or oven.
- Add chunks of butter, sprinkle on the muscovado sugar, and add a pinch of salt. Drizzle with water.
- For the air fryer, set to roast mode at 185°C (365°F) and cook for 20 minutes, flipping halfway. For the oven, preheat to 190°C (375°F) and roast for 20–30 minutes.
- Score the top of the Camembert in a crosshatch pattern, sprinkle thyme leaves and chopped nuts over it.
- Once the pears are done, pour the caramel sauce over the scored Camembert.
- Bake the Camembert in the air fryer at 180°C (350°F) for 5-10 minutes, or in the oven at 200°C (400°F) for 10-12 minutes.
- Place the baked Camembert on a serving platter and arrange the caramelized pears around it. Serve with sliced grilled baguette or crackers.

Notes
Use firm but ripe pears for the best texture.
Substitute brown sugar for muscovado if necessary.
