- Mix the dry ingredients: Combine 1 cup of wheat flour, 1 cup of sugar, and 1/2 tablespoon of baking powder in a bowl.
- Blend the carrot mixture: Peel and grate 2 large carrots, then blend with 1/2 cup of oil and 2 eggs until smooth.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients: Pour the carrot puree into the dry mixture and stir gently until combined.
- Prepare the baking tray: Grease and flour a baking tray and spread the batter evenly.
- Add the brigadeiros: Coat the brigadeiros in flour and arrange them on top of the cake batter.
- Bake the cake: Place in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 1 hour and 15 minutes until golden.
- Unmold and serve: Cool for a few minutes, unmold, and optionally dust with icing sugar.

Notes
For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg to the dry ingredients. Rolling the brigadeiros in crushed nuts or coconut flakes adds texture. Store the cake in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for a week.
