Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lbs sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • to taste salt & black pepper
  • 12 oz fusilli pasta
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1.5 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
  • to garnish fresh parsley, chopped

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook fusilli pasta until al dente, drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, season steak bites with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Sear the steak bites in the skillet for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your liking, then remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Stir in Cajun seasoning, red pepper flakes, and salt, then pour in heavy cream and milk, bringing to a gentle simmer.
  6. Add cream cheese and stir until melted and smooth, then add Parmesan and mozzarella, stirring until creamy.
  7. Toss cooked fusilli in the sauce, add steak bites, stir together and simmer for 1-2 minutes. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
