- Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius (thermostat 6) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the mixture is glossy.
- Stir in the vanilla sugar and a pinch of salt, mixing gently.
- In another bowl, mix the flour and baking powder, then gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring just until combined.
- Gently fold in the chopped candied fruits.
- Form small balls of dough and place them on the prepared baking tray, leaving space between each.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Remove the biscuits from the oven, let them cool on the tray for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
