- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, vanilla sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together.
- Make a well in the center, add eggs and melted butter, and mix until a thick, sticky dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 3 to 5 minutes until smooth and no longer sticky.
- Cover the dough and let it rest for about 30 minutes.
- Roll out the dough to about 1 cm (1/2 inch) thickness and cut into desired shapes.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry shaped dough pieces 3-4 at a time for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
