Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 small Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 can Crushed Tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1 cup Pizza Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 tablespoon Dried Basil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
  • to taste Salt and Pepper
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
  • 1 package Refrigerated Pizza Dough or homemade
  • 0.5 cup Pepperoni Slices (optional)
  • to garnish Fresh Basil, chopped

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until browned, about 7-8 minutes, then drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, pizza sauce, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper, and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  4. Roll out pizza dough and fit it into a greased 9-inch pie dish, leaving overhang around edges.
  5. Pour the beef mixture into the dough-lined pie dish and spread evenly. Top with mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan cheeses. Optionally, add pepperoni on top.
  6. Fold excess dough over the edges of the filling and leave the center exposed. Bake for 20-25 minutes until dough is golden brown and cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and garnish with fresh basil before serving.
