  • 6 pieces croissants
  • 200 g cooked chicken breast cut into pieces
  • 150 g grated cheese (Emmental, cheddar, or a mix)
  • 3 eggs
  • 250 ml milk
  • 100 ml liquid cream
  • 1 teaspoon mustard optional
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • a pinch grated nutmeg optional
  • fresh parsley for garnish chopped

Method
 

  1. Cut the croissants into bite-sized pieces and arrange them in a buttered baking dish.
  2. Sprinkle the cooked chicken evenly over the croissants followed by a layer of grated cheese.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, and mustard, seasoning with salt, pepper, and nutmeg, then pour over the croissants.
  4. Allow the croissants to soak for 10 minutes, then bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
