Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1 cup grapes, halved (red or green)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup celery, diced

  • 1/4 cup nuts (almonds, pecans, or walnuts), chopped optional
  • 1/2 cup apples or pineapple, diced optional
  • to taste Fresh herbs (dill or parsley) optional

Method
 

  1. Prepare the cooked chicken: shred or dice it into bite-sized pieces.
  2. If using canned chicken, drain and flake it with a fork.
  3. Halve the grapes neatly; quarter if they are larger.
  4. Dice the celery finely.
  5. Roughly chop the nuts if using and toast them in a dry skillet for enhanced flavor.
  6. In a large bowl, combine the chicken, grapes, celery, and nuts.
  7. Gradually add mayonnaise, mixing gently with a spatula until just combined.
  8. Season with salt, pepper, and any additional seasonings to taste.
  9. Serve immediately or chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
