- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Press the cookie dough into a thin, even layer in a greased 9x9 inch baking pan and bake according to package directions until golden brown.
- Let the cookie sheet cool completely on a wire rack.
- Break the cold cookie into bite-sized chunks.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth and fluffy using a hand mixer.
- Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract to the cream cheese and beat until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whip very cold heavy cream until firm peaks form.
- Fold half of the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture gently.
- In a clear trifle bowl or individual glasses, layer half of the cookie chunks at the bottom.
- Spoon half of the cheesecake mixture over the cookie layer and spread gently.
- Sprinkle half of the chocolate chips and half of the crushed M&Ms over the cheesecake layer.
- Repeat with remaining cookie chunks, cheesecake mixture, chocolate chips, and crushed M&Ms.
- Top with the remaining whipped cream and garnish with whole chocolate chips and M&Ms.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour to set.
