- In a small saucepan, heat the sugar and water over medium heat until it turns amber.
- Pour the caramel into a cake pan and let it cool.
- In a large bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk the sugar, egg, milk, oil, and vanilla until smooth, then combine with the dry ingredients.
- Gradually add the hot coffee to the chocolate batter.
- Blend the sweetened and unsweetened condensed milks, eggs, and vanilla in a blender until smooth.
- Pour the chocolate batter over the cooled caramel in the pan.
- Gently spoon the flan mixture on top of the chocolate layer.
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake the cake in a bain-marie for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes.
