Ingredients
  

  • 500 g peeled and deveined shrimp
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • Zest of 1 lime
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • A pinch red pepper flakes (optional)
  • to taste salt and black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped

Method
 

  1. Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. Season the shrimp with salt, pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes; let sit for 5 minutes.
  3. In a large skillet, melt one tablespoon of butter with olive oil over medium heat.
  4. Add minced garlic to the pan and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Place the shrimp in the skillet in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  6. Once cooked, add remaining butter, lime juice, and zest to the pan and stir gently to coat the shrimp.
  7. Remove from heat and toss in the chopped cilantro; stir and serve.

Notes
