- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the red velvet cake mix, sour cream, eggs, vegetable oil, water, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon for the swirl.
- Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared pan, spread evenly, and sprinkle with the cinnamon mixture. Cover with the remaining batter.
- Bake the cake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon, beating until creamy. Add milk as needed.
- Once the cake is cool, frost it evenly with the cream cheese frosting.
