- Start by boiling water in a large pot. Add a pinch of salt and toss in the ziti.
- Cook until it’s al dente. Drain it well and drizzle with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- In a bowl, mix the marinara sauce with half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
- In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of sauce at the bottom. Add half the cooked ziti, then dollops of ricotta and more sauce.
- Repeat the layers, finishing with a sprinkle of mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
- Pop the dish into a preheated oven at 375°F. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
