  • 100 g flour
  • 50 g melted butter
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • a pinch salt
  • 150 ml milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F) and grease a cake pan with butter.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.
  3. Gradually sift in the flour and baking powder, adding a pinch of salt, and gently fold until combined.
  4. Pour in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract; mix gently until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 to 35 minutes, checking with a toothpick for doneness.
  7. Let the cake cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
