Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a sheet pan by lining it with parchment paper or greasing it lightly with nonstick spray.
  3. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add in the flour, baking soda, and salt, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.
  7. Spread the dough evenly onto the prepared sheet pan.
  8. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the center feels set but slightly soft.
  9. Let the cookie cake cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before slicing.
