  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 12 oz Rotini pasta
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Whole milk
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup Cream cheese softened
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
  • Optional: Red pepper flakes for extra heat

Method
 

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water, cook rotini until al dente for 8-10 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat, brown ground beef until no longer pink, and drain excess fat.
  3. Add Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper; stir and cook for another 12 minutes.
  4. Lower heat, add butter, heavy cream, and milk; stir to combine, then add cream cheese and both cheeses, stirring until melted.
  5. Add cooked rotini to the skillet, toss to coat in the sauce, garnish with parsley and red pepper flakes, and serve hot.
