  • 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak cut into strips
  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and black pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese for extra creaminess
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Fresh parsley chopped for garnish

Method
 

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water, add the penne pasta, and cook until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, season beef strips with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper, then sear each side for 2-3 minutes until golden brown; remove and let rest.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, pour in beef broth and simmer for 2 minutes; stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, mozzarella, and cream cheese until the sauce is thick and creamy.
  4. Add the cooked penne to the sauce and toss to coat; return beef strips to the skillet and stir gently, simmering for another 1-2 minutes; garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
