- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steaks, seasoned generously with Cajun seasoning, and sear until lightly browned on both sides and cooked to your desired doneness. Set the steaks aside to rest.
- Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add the shrimp and cook for about 1-2 minutes per side, until pink and slightly opaque. Set the shrimp aside.
- Add the chopped garlic to the skillet and cook for about a minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Pour in the chicken broth (or white wine) and deglaze the pan, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom with a wooden spoon. Let it sizzle and reduce slightly.
- Add the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and additional Cajun seasoning to the skillet. Bring to a boil and let simmer for a minute, stirring frequently.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and let it melt into the sauce. Add the lemon juice and chopped parsley, stirring to combine.
- Add the shrimp back into the skillet and warm them in the sauce for a minute. Serve the creamy Cajun shrimp sauce over the steaks.
