Method
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain the pasta, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta water. Set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the steak bites with garlic powder, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Sear for 2-3 minutes per side, then remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute. Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss in the garlic butter for an additional 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat.
- In a clean skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Stir in heavy cream and milk, and bring to a low simmer. Add cream cheese and whisk until smooth. Mix in Parmesan, mozzarella, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Thicken the sauce, adding reserved pasta water if needed.
- Add cooked penne to the Alfredo sauce and stir until fully coated.
- Divide the pasta among serving plates. Top with garlic butter steak bites. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes
For substitutions, you can use chicken or shrimp instead of steak, and swap penne pasta for any pasta shape you prefer. If you have leftovers, store the pasta and sauce separately in airtight containers for up to 3 days. Reheat together, adding a splash of cream or milk if needed. For added flavor, a squeeze of lemon juice in the Alfredo sauce before mixing with pasta can enhance the taste significantly. Don't hesitate to get creative with your garnishes! Fresh herbs or red pepper flakes add a nice touch. Enjoy your cooking!
