Creamy Garlic Steak

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lbs sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.5 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1 cup long-grain rice
  • 2 cups water or broth for cooking rice
  • to garnish fresh parsley, chopped

Method
 

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water or broth to a boil, add the rice, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until tender.
  2. Season the steak pieces with salt, pepper, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat; add steak tips and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  4. Remove steak from skillet and set aside; add minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté for 1 minute.
  5. Pour in beef broth, scrape up browned bits, and simmer for 2-3 minutes; then stir in heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, and Parmesan cheese, cooking for another 3-4 minutes.
  6. Return steak to skillet, toss in the creamy sauce, and simmer for 2-3 minutes; serve over Parmesan rice and garnish with fresh parsley.
