Ingredients
  

  • 400 g chicken breast cut into strips or bite-sized pieces
  • 200 g udon, soba, or rice noodles
  • 50 g breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder or flakes
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Method
 

  1. Cut chicken into even pieces.
  2. In a bowl, beat the egg with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. Dip each piece of chicken into the beaten egg, then coat it with breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  5. Fry chicken pieces for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  6. While chicken is frying, bring a pot of salted water to boil.
  7. Add noodles and cook according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  8. In a small pan, heat sesame oil over low heat, add garlic and ginger, sauté until fragrant.
  9. Stir in soy sauce, honey, and chili powder, simmer for a couple of minutes.
  10. Pour the sauce over cooked noodles and toss to combine.
  11. Divide spicy noodles among serving bowls, arrange crispy chicken on top, and sprinkle sesame seeds.
