Ingredients
  

  • 4 pieces Beef Cube Steaks
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 2 cups Whole Milk for Gravy
  • 2 tablespoons All-Purpose Flour for Gravy
  • to taste Salt and Pepper for Gravy

Method
 

  1. In a shallow dish, combine the flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. In another dish, whisk together the eggs and 1/2 cup of milk to make the egg wash.
  3. Dredge each cube steak in the flour mixture, then dip it in the egg wash, and coat again in the flour mixture.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove the steaks and drain excess oil on a paper towel.
  6. In the skillet, whisk together 2 tablespoons of flour with the remaining oil, then gradually whisk in 2 cups of milk and season with salt and pepper to taste until the gravy thickens.
  7. Pour the hot gravy over the crispy steaks and serve immediately.
