- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 8-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, sugar, and vanilla. Beat in the eggs one at a time until well combined.
- Add the cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Mix until just combined. The batter should be thick and glossy.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the layers cool completely.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and cocoa powder.
- Mix in the heavy cream and vanilla until the frosting is smooth and fluffy.
- Place one brownie layer on a serving plate. Spread a generous layer of frosting on top.
- Place the second brownie layer over it and frost the top and sides. Smooth the frosting with a spatula.
- Add garnishes like chocolate shavings, sprinkles, or fresh berries.
- Chill the cake for 30 minutes to set the frosting. Slice and enjoy!

Notes
For an extra-rich flavor, try using dark chocolate cocoa powder in the frosting. It adds a deeper, more intense chocolate taste.
