- Preheat your oven to 170 ºC (340 ºF).
- Sift and combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- In another bowl, mix the buttermilk with the red food coloring, vanilla extract, and white vinegar.
- Beat the butter with the sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, one by one, beating well after each addition.
- Alternately add the dry and wet ingredients, starting and ending with the dry ingredients.
- Pour the batter into a previously greased mold and tap it gently on the countertop.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool on a wire rack for about 15 minutes, then remove it from the mold and let it cool completely for at least 45 minutes.
- When the cake is completely cool, wrap it in plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator overnight.
- To make the frosting, beat 50 grams of room temperature butter with 300 grams of icing sugar, then add 125 grams of cold cream cheese and beat until creamy.
