- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a cake pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.
- Gently fold in the softened butter and milk until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Sift the flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt into the wet mixture, then fold until smooth.
- Divide the batter into two equal parts; stir melted dark chocolate into one part and vanilla sugar into the other.
- Alternate spoonfuls of the two batters into the prepared pan and swirl gently with a fork or skewer.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool the cake in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
