  • 4 pieces eggs
  • 200 g sugar
  • 250 g flour
  • 125 g softened butter
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 100 ml milk
  • 50 g melted dark chocolate
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • a pinch salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a cake pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.
  3. Gently fold in the softened butter and milk until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  4. Sift the flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt into the wet mixture, then fold until smooth.
  5. Divide the batter into two equal parts; stir melted dark chocolate into one part and vanilla sugar into the other.
  6. Alternate spoonfuls of the two batters into the prepared pan and swirl gently with a fork or skewer.
  7. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Cool the cake in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
