Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef or your choice of protein
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • to taste Shredded lettuce
  • to taste Diced tomatoes
  • to taste Shredded cheese cheddar or Mexican blend
  • to taste Sour cream
  • to taste Guacamole
  • optional Hot sauce

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until translucent and fragrant.
  2. Add ground beef, breaking it up while it cooks until browned, then stir in ground cumin and chili powder. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Add diced red and green bell peppers to the beef mixture and cook for an additional 5 minutes or until peppers are tender.
  4. Warm taco shells in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 10 seconds on each side until golden and crispy.
  5. Assemble tacos by laying out ingredients on a table, starting with taco shells and adding the beef mixture, then topping with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, and hot sauce if desired.
