Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs skirt steak
  • to taste salt & pepper
  • 6 tsp garlic, minced
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 0.5 cup parsley, chopped

Method
 

  1. Pat the steak dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Chop the parsley, mince the garlic, and cube the butter.
  3. Cut the steak into pieces that fit inside your skillet.
  4. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until very hot.
  5. Place the steak in the skillet and brown each side for about 2-3 minutes for medium-rare.
  6. Remove steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate for at least 5 minutes.
  7. In another skillet, melt butter over low heat.
  8. Add minced garlic to the melted butter and stir until it turns lightly golden.
  9. Remove from heat and pour the garlic butter into a bowl.
  10. Slice the steak against the grain, pour garlic butter over the steak, and garnish with chopped parsley.
  11. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, use a vegan butter substitute. If you can’t find skirt steak, flank or hanger steak works well as alternatives.
