Method
- Pat the steak dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Chop the parsley, mince the garlic, and cube the butter.
- Cut the steak into pieces that fit inside your skillet.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until very hot.
- Place the steak in the skillet and brown each side for about 2-3 minutes for medium-rare.
- Remove steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate for at least 5 minutes.
- In another skillet, melt butter over low heat.
- Add minced garlic to the melted butter and stir until it turns lightly golden.
- Remove from heat and pour the garlic butter into a bowl.
- Slice the steak against the grain, pour garlic butter over the steak, and garnish with chopped parsley.
- Serve immediately.

Notes
For a dairy-free version, use a vegan butter substitute. If you can’t find skirt steak, flank or hanger steak works well as alternatives. To enhance the flavor, consider adding a splash of lemon juice or soy sauce to the garlic butter. Leftovers can be stored separately in airtight containers for up to 3 days and can be reheated in a skillet to maintain juiciness.
