Ingredients
  

  • 700-900 g beef, cut into 2.5 cm cubes
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1-2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 1 sprig fresh thyme
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste pepper

Method
 

  1. Season the beef cubes with Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, and garlic powder, then coat with a quarter of the flour.
  2. Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven and brown the beef cubes in batches until golden.
  3. Remove the beef and sauté the diced onions until translucent.
  4. Stir in the remaining flour and minced garlic, and cook for an additional minute.
  5. Deglaze the pot with a splash of red wine, scraping up the browned bits.
  6. Return the beef to the pot, add beef broth, rosemary, and thyme, then simmer for about 2 hours.
  7. Remove herbs, adjust seasoning, and serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
