  • 1 package Hawaiian King Sweet Rolls (12 rolls)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar (for garnish)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)
  • to taste fresh sliced strawberries (for garnish)
  • to taste caramel sauce (for drizzling)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish lightly.
  2. Slice the Hawaiian King Sweet Rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected.
  3. Place the bottom half of the rolls cut side up in the prepared dish.
  4. In a bowl, beat softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and egg until smooth.
  5. Pour the creamy cheesecake filling onto the bottom layer of rolls and spread it evenly.
  6. Place the top half of the rolls over the filling and press down lightly.
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the top is golden brown and filling is set.
  8. Allow to cool on a rack for 15-20 minutes.
  9. Prepare glaze by whisking powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  10. Drizzle the glaze over the top and garnish with sliced strawberries and caramel sauce.
