- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8 or 9x9 baking pan and set it aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar. Stir until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Sift in the Hershey’s cocoa, flour, and salt. Mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- If you’re adding chocolate chips or nuts, fold them in gently at this stage.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes. To check if they’re done, insert a toothpick into the center—it should come out with a few moist crumbs but no raw batter.
- Let the brownies cool completely before slicing to help them hold their shape.
