- In a small bowl, mix together smoked paprika, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and dried thyme.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the pork ribs until well coated.
- Set the Instant Pot to "Sauté" mode and brown the ribs on all sides.
- Remove the ribs and set aside; add chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in the beef broth and deglaze the pot by scraping up browned bits from the bottom.
- Return the ribs to the pot and pour BBQ sauce over them.
- Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to "Pressure Cook" on high for 25 minutes.
- Allow natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then perform a quick release.
- (Optional) Brush ribs with honey and place under the broiler for 2-3 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
