Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs pork ribs
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper optional, for extra heat
  • 1 tsp dried thyme optional
  • 2 tbsp honey optional, for extra sweetness

Method
 

  1. In a small bowl, mix together smoked paprika, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and dried thyme.
  2. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork ribs until well coated.
  3. Set the Instant Pot to "Sauté" mode and brown the ribs on all sides.
  4. Remove the ribs and set aside; add chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot and sauté until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and deglaze the pot by scraping up browned bits from the bottom.
  6. Return the ribs to the pot and pour BBQ sauce over them.
  7. Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to "Pressure Cook" on high for 25 minutes.
  8. Allow natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then perform a quick release.
  9. (Optional) Brush ribs with honey and place under the broiler for 2-3 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
