  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for the sauce)
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 250 g fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup Marsala wine
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Equipment

  • Tongs for flipping steaks

Method

  1. Let your steaks sit at room temperature for 30 minutes and season them generously with salt and pepper.

  3. Add the steaks and cook for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, then remove and cover with foil to rest.
  4. In the same skillet, melt more butter and add the garlic, cooking until fragrant.

Notes

Use high-quality ingredients for the best flavor. Don't overcrowd the pan when cooking the steaks for a better sear. Taste and adjust seasoning to your preference. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently. For a fun twist, try using chicken or portobello mushrooms as a substitute for steak.
