Method
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until well combined.
- Transfer the meat mixture to a loaf pan or shape it into a loaf on a baking sheet. Top with ketchup.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the meatloaf for 60-70 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- While the meatloaf is baking, place the cubed potatoes in a pot and cover with water. Boil until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to pot.
- Add butter, milk, salt, and pepper to the drained potatoes and mash until smooth.
- Once the meatloaf is done, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with mashed potatoes.

Notes
For a lighter version, substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken, and use dairy-free milk for the mashed potatoes.
Store the meatloaf and mashed potatoes in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat in the microwave or oven before serving.
For added flavor, consider topping the meatloaf with shredded cheddar cheese during the last 10 minutes of baking.
To customize the flavor, feel free to add different herbs and spices to the mixture for a twist!
