  • 2 eggs lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup caramel topping
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel topping
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 3 cups pecans
  • 1 box Butter Pecan Cake Mix or White Cake Mix
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted (for the cake topping)
  • 1/2 cup crushed or halved pecans for garnish
  • q.s. salted caramel topping for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 13x9-inch baking pan with baking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the lightly beaten eggs, brown sugar, salted caramel topping, caramel topping, and melted butter. Mix well and fold in the pecans.
  3. Pour the pecan mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  4. In another bowl, mix the cake mix and 1 cup of melted butter until crumbly. Sprinkle the cake mix crumbles evenly over the pecan filling.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 350°F until the top is golden brown. Allow it to cool for 15-20 minutes before slicing.
  6. Garnish with crushed or halved pecans and drizzle with salted caramel topping. Optionally, serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
