Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • a pinch salt

Method
 

  1. Peel and dice the apples, then toss them with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix flour, oats, cold butter, salt, and walnuts until crumbly.
  3. Divide the spiced apples into ramekins, sprinkle with the topping, and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 30-35 minutes.
