- Slice the beef into thin strips and chop the broccoli into bite-sized florets.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the beef slices in a single layer and sear for about 2 minutes per side.
- Remove the beef and set aside on a plate.
- Add sesame oil to the same pan and stir-fry the broccoli for 4–5 minutes until bright green and tender.
- Return the beef to the pan, add soy sauce, garlic, and ginger, and stir together for another 2 minutes.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, or red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes
For extra tenderness, marinate the beef in a teaspoon of cornstarch and soy sauce before cooking.
