- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Rinse the figs gently under cold water and pat them dry.
- Make a small cross-shaped slit on the top of each fig, without cutting all the way through.
- Arrange the figs in a baking dish, cut-side up, and spoon about a teaspoon of goat cheese into each fig.
- Drizzle the figs with olive oil and honey, sprinkle fresh thyme, and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake in the oven for 10–15 minutes until the figs soften and the cheese turns golden.
- (Optional) Sprinkle crushed walnuts over the top after baking for added crunch.
