  • 1/2 cup sliced ham
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup sautéed mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup roasted red peppers sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 egg beaten for egg wash
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • to taste fresh basil leaves for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  4. Arrange the pepperoni, salami, ham, sautéed mushrooms, and roasted red peppers over the sauce.
  5. Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses generously over the meats and veggies, then add Italian seasoning.
  6. Carefully roll up the dough from one long side, tucking in the ends as you go to seal the stromboli.
  7. Place the rolled stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Brush the top with the beaten egg for a glossy finish, and drizzle with olive oil. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
