Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz Malibu rum
  • 1 oz coconut cream
  • 6 oz fresh pineapple juice
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • 0.5 cup whipped cream (for frosting)
  • 1 oz Malibu rum (for frosting)
  • 1 fresh strawberry (for garnish)

Method
 

  1. Blend 2 oz of Malibu rum, coconut cream, and fresh pineapple juice until creamy.
  2. Add 1 cup of hulled strawberries and 1 cup of crushed ice; blend until smooth.
  3. For the frosting, mix 0.5 cup of whipped cream with 1 oz of Malibu rum until just combined.
  4. Pour the blended colada into a chilled glass.
  5. Spoon the Malibu frosting over the top of the drink.
  6. Garnish with a fresh strawberry.

Notes

Use crushed ice for the best texture. If you want a non-alcoholic version, skip the Malibu rum and use coconut water with a hint of coconut extract.
