  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup red velvet cake mix
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • q.s. whipped cream to decorate to taste

Equipment

  • Electric mixer or stand mixer
  • Spatulas
  • Graham cracker crust or springform pan
  • Kitchen scale (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 163°C (325°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and milk until well-integrated.
  3. In another bowl, combine the red velvet cake mix with the melted butter and mix until you have a smooth batter.
  4. Pour half of the red velvet mixture into the graham cracker crust. Add the cream cheese mixture on top, followed by the remaining red velvet mixture. Use a knife to gently swirl the layers together.

  6. Before serving, top with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.
